Whole blood from young healthy rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus) Breeds: New Zealand White and/or California White that are 8?12 weeks of age, either sex, and fasted at the time of slaughter, is mixed with 0.5 mL Sodium Heparin (7500 units/mL) then QS to 250 mL with blood. The plasma is separated from the blood cellular components by centrifugation. The plasma is pooled, bottled and stored at or below -10°C.
