Specificity
This item recognises glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP), an intermediate filament found only in glial cells or cells of glial origin (e.g. astrocytes, ependymal cells and Schwann cells). This antibody stains only astrocytes in formalin-fixed paraffin embedded rat brain cerebellum.
Form/Format

Serum - liquid
Perservative Stabilisers
0.02% Sodium Azide
Immunogen
GFAP isolated from spinal cord
Preparation and Storage
Store at 4 degree C or at -20 degree C if preferred. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
Shelf Life: 12 months from date of despatch.
Other Notes
Small volumes of anti-GFAP antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
