Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays)
3 samples with low, middle and high level Adrenergic Receptor Alpha 2C (ADRa2C) were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate.
Preparation and Storage
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.
ISO Certification
Manufactured in an ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485:2003 Certified Laboratory.
Supply Chain Verification
Manufactured in a lab with traceable raw materials. Bulk orders can typically be prepared to the customera??s specifications, please inquire.
Product Note
Select online data sheet information is drawn from bioinformatics databases, occasionally resulting in ambiguous or non-relevant product information. It is the responsibility of the customer to review, verify, and evaluate the information to make sure it matches their requirements before purchasing the kit. Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes
Small volumes of ADRa2C elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS2705324 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Adrenergic Receptor Alpha 2C (ADRa2C) ELISA Kit target analytes in
biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing ADRa2C. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS2705324 kit is based on ADRa2C antibody-ADRa2C antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect ADRa2C antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, ADRa2C. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Adrenergic Receptor Alpha 2C (ADRa2C). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Adrenergic Receptor Alpha 2C (ADRa2C). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Adrenergic Receptor Alpha 2C (ADRa2C), biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Adrenergic Receptor Alpha 2C (ADRa2C) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Summary for ADRa2C
Alpha-2-adrenergic receptors are members of the G protein-coupled receptor superfamily. They include 3 highly homologous subtypes: alpha2A, alpha2B, and alpha2C. These receptors have a critical role in regulating neurotransmitter release from sympathetic nerves and from adrenergic neurons in the central nervous system. The mouse studies revealed that both the alpha2A and alpha2C subtypes were required for normal presynaptic control of transmitter release from sympathetic nerves in the heart and from central noradrenergic neurons. The alpha2A subtype inhibited transmitter release at high stimulation frequencies, whereas the alpha2C subtype modulated neurotransmission at lower levels of nerve activity. This gene encodes the alpha2C subtype, which contains no introns in either its coding or untranslated sequences. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
UniProt Comments for ADRa2C
Alpha-2 adrenergic receptors mediate the catecholamine-induced inhibition of adenylate cyclase through the action of G proteins.
Research Articles on ADRa2C
1. The frequency of alpha2CDel322-325-AR in suicide and non-suicide victims was similar. Genotype frequencies for the alpha2CDel322-325-AR polymorphism in depressed and schizophrenic subjects were higher than in controls, but these differences did not reach statistical significance. The results indicate that alpha2CDel322-325-AR may play a role in the pathophysiology of opiate abuse and dependence.
