Related Product Information for
anti-DAP12 antibody
DAP12 is a transmembrane adaptor protein that is non-covalently associated with several cell surface receptors on natural killer (NK), myeloid, and presumably neuronal cells (1,2). DAP12 contains an ITAM domain that preferentially recruits the protein tyrosine kinase Syk to initiate signal transduction (3). Deficiency of DAP12 results in reduced antigen presentation function by myeloid cells and defects in function of certain NK cell receptors in mice (4,5), as well as presenile dementia and bone cysts in humans (6).

UniProt Comments for DAP12
Function: Non-covalently associates with activating receptors of the CD300 family. Cross-linking of CD300-TYROBP complexes results in cellular activation. Involved for instance in neutrophil activation mediated by integrin. Ref.7
Subunit structure: Homodimer; disulfide-linked. Interacts with SIRPB1 and TREM1. Interacts with SIGLEC14
By similarity. Interacts with CLECSF5. Interacts with CD300LB and CD300D. Interacts with CD300E. Interacts with KLRC2 and KIR2DS3
By similarity. Interacts (via ITAM domain) with SYK (via SH2 domains); activates SYK mediating neutrophils and macrophages integrin-mediated activation. Ref.4 Ref.5 Ref.6 Ref.7 Ref.8 Ref.10
Subcellular location: Membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein.
Post-translational modification: Tyrosine phosphorylated.
Sequence similarities: Belongs to the TYROBP family.Contains 1 ITAM domain.
