Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Related Product Information for
Mafa blocking peptide
This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-Mafa Antibody, made
Target Description: Mafa acts as a transcriptional factor. Mafa specifically binds the insulin enhancer element RIPE3b. Mafa cooperates synergistically with NEUROD1 and PDX1. Phosphorylation by GSK3 increases its transcriptional activity and is required for its oncogenic activity. Mafa regulates the insulin gene transcription. Mafa is involved either as an oncogene or as a tumor suppressor, depending on the cell context.

Research Articles on Mafa
1. Data suggest that hepatocytes can be reprogrammed into insulin-producing cells in vivo by transfection of neurogenin-3, Pdx1, and MafA genes using non-viral hydrodynamics injection; this procedure was used in treatment of streptozotocin diabetes; fasting blood glucose was reduced to normal. (Pdx1 = pancreatic and duodenal homeobox 1; MafA = v-maf musculoaponeurotic fibrosarcoma oncogene family, protein A)
