Other Notes
Small volumes of KLK11 recombinant protein vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Related Product Information for
KLK11 recombinant protein
Kallikrein 11 is expressed in brain, skin, ovary and prostate. Increased levels of Kallikrein 11 have been reported in prostate and ovarian carcinoma. It is a serine protease. Kallikrein 11 (KLK11), also known as hippostasin, trypsin-like serine protease and PRSS20, is a member of human tissue kallikrein family.6 Two alternatively spliced forms exist, resulting in 250 (isoform 1) and 282 (isoform 2) amino acid sequences, respectively.1-4. Isoform 1 consists of a signal peptide (residues 1-18), a short pro peptide (residues 19-21) and the mature chain

NCBI Summary for KLK11
Kallikreins are a subgroup of serine proteases having diverse physiological functions. Growing evidence suggests that many kallikreins are implicated in carcinogenesis and some have potential as novel cancer and other disease biomarkers. This gene is one of the fifteen kallikrein subfamily members located in a cluster on chromosome 19. Alternate splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms which are differentially expressed.[provided by RefSeq, Nov 2009]
UniProt Comments for KLK11
KLK11: Possible multifunctional protease. Efficiently cleaves 'bz-Phe-Arg-4-methylcoumaryl-7-amide', a kallikrein substrate, and weakly cleaves other substrates for kallikrein and trypsin. Cleaves synthetic peptides after arginine but not lysine residues. Belongs to the peptidase S1 family. Kallikrein subfamily. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
