Product Note
Select online data sheet information is drawn from bioinformatics databases, occasionally resulting in ambiguous or non-relevant product information. It is the responsibility of the customer to review, verify, and evaluate the information to make sure it matches their requirements before purchasing the kit. Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes
Small volumes of TYRP1 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS1601657 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Tyrosinase-Related Protein 1 (TYRP1) ELISA Kit target analytes in
biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing TYRP1. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS1601657 kit is based on TYRP1 antibody-TYRP1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect TYRP1 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, TYRP1. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

TYRP1 elisa kit
Intended Uses: This sandwich kit is for the accurate quantitative detection of Rabbit Tyrosinase-Related Protein 1 (also known as TYRP1) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, cell lysates, tissue homogenates.
Principles of the Assay: This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with Rabbit TYRP1 antibody. TYRP1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Rabbit TYRP1
Antibody is added and binds to TYRP1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated TYRP1antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Rabbit TYRP1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

NCBI Summary for TYRP1
This gene encodes a melanosomal enzyme that belongs to the tyrosinase family and plays an important role in the melanin biosynthetic pathway. Defects in this gene are the cause of rufous oculocutaneous albinism and oculocutaneous albinism type III. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2009]
UniProt Comments for TYRP1
Catalyzes the oxidation of 5,6-dihydroxyindole-2-carboxylic acid (DHICA) into indole-5,6-quinone-2-carboxylic acid in the presence of bound Cu2+ ions (PubMed:28661582). May regulate or influence the type of melanin synthesized (PubMed:22556244, PubMed:16704458). Also to a lower extent, capable of hydroxylating tyrosine and producing melanin ().
Research Articles on TYRP1
1. The rs387907171 SNP in TYRP1 exhibits strong allele frequency differences among islands in Northern Island Melanesia. Its absence from Bougainville, as well as the weak association with decreased hair color, indicates that additional alleles contribute to the blondism phenotype.
