Other Notes
Small volumes of anti-CISD2 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Related Product Information for
anti-CISD2 antibody
Function: Regulator of autophagy that contributes to antagonize BECN1-mediated cellular autophagy at the endoplasmic reticulum. Participates in the interaction of BCL2 with BECN1 and is required for BCL2-mediated depression of endoplasmic reticulum Ca2+ stores during autophagy. Contributes to BIK-initiated autophagy, while it is not involved in BIK-dependent activation of caspases. Involved in life span control, probably via its function as regulator of autophagy.
Subunit Structure: Homodimer. Interacts with BCL2; the interaction is direct and disrupted by BIK interaction with BCL2. Interacts with BCL2L1. Interacts with ITPR1.
Similarity: Belongs to the CISD protein family. CISD2 subfamily.
Applications Tested/Suitable for anti-CISD2 antibody

Application Notes for anti-CISD2 antibody
WB: 1:500-1:2000
IHC: 1:50-1:200
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) of anti-CISD2 antibody
MBS9603324 at 1/100 staining Human brain cancer tissue by IHC-P. The sample was formaldehyde fixed and a heat mediated antigen retrieval step in citrate buffer was performed. The sample was then blocked and incubated with the antibody for 1.5 hours at 22 degree C. An HRP conjugated goat anti-rabbit antibody was used as the secondary.

Western Blot (WB) of anti-CISD2 antibody
Western blot analysis of extracts of mouse kidney tissue, using CISD2 antibody.

NCBI Summary for CISD2
The protein encoded by this gene is a zinc finger protein that localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum. The encoded protein binds an iron/sulfur cluster and may be involved in calcium homeostasis. Defects in this gene are a cause of Wolfram syndrome 2. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2011]
