Insulin-Transferrin-Sodium Selenite (ITS) supplement is a general cell supplement containing a mixture of insulin, transferrin, and sodium selenite. Insulin, transferring, and sodium selenite are components contained in fetal bovine serum (FBS) that are usually required for cell growth. Culturing cells with ITS supplement can reduce or eliminate the FBS used during cell culture. |
